Clean Home, Clean Mind

I’ve always thought that cleaning is a great way for me to clear my mind. I just relax and get right into the task. For me, it’s a type of meditation; I simply stop thinking and focus into the here and now. Not only is it a great way for me to spend some time in the moment by myself, but I also get the reward of having a sparkling clean house at the end of it.

The Moon In My Rearview Mirror

My beloved grandmother was content to sit on a porch for hours engaged in storytelling, while I struggled to remain still long enough to listen. Deeply aware of the special gift of her healthy and vibrant presence in my life, I promised myself to spend more time with her, listen more attentively, and put my own agenda aside in order to enjoy her company. Caught up in the rhythm of daily life and the intricacies of my youthful self-absorption, romantic woes, building a business and searching for Mr. Right, the years flew by and grandma’s body began to break down. I now find myself missing her hugs, her unconditional adoration and the sound of her laughter with a longing that stings my soul.

How To Retire Early, Live Well In Warm Weather

Retirement is a time when many dread. Primarily because the income is now less than during our working lives. Further when we retire we are usually older and hence less healthy. If we are living in a cold environment it does not help. Most of us would like to retire when we are younger but for the cost of living continue to be on an upward spiral.
