So Many Self-Help Books - So Little Change

Bookshops are full of “popular psychology” and “self-help” books - yet most lives stay the same and the world appears to be in a bigger mess than ever. The problem is that an intellectual understanding of “self-improvement” books is not enough - and, in fact, can be quite dangerous. You need to experience the difference between being “normal” and the “altered state of mind” in which you can clearly see the way towards happiness and success.

Discovering the True Bliss Within : Beyond Boundaries Meditation

Beyond Boundaries Meditation is a secret ancient Meditation technique created by the Contemporary Enlightened Mystic ? Anandmurti Gurumaa. It makes witnessing the Mind a sheer joy and a child’s play.

We all have enjoyed much pleasures and joys in our lives, but they have all passed and vanished away with the source through which we achieved them. They can be defined as the Material Pleasures where the source of happiness is somewhere outside. But the problem with such pleasure is that it is as perishable as are all material objects in the Outer World.

Examining Happiness

“What is happiness?” a young child asked. For a moment I was a bit taken aback. Then I thought, ‘Happiness’ is a really complicated sensory thing - a bit like an onion. As you peel away the outer layers, according to your experience, you expose the deeper, more intimate layers, one by one, until you get to the core - inner peace and contentment, which is the essence of happiness.

Happiness has been described as beatitude, blessedness, bliss, cheerfulness, child-like innocent contentment, delight, ecstasy, felicity, being light-hearted, feeling carefree, good-humoured, fun-loving, being joyful, rapturous, merriment, tranquillity, or enjoying inner peace. I know that inner peace is a necessary prerequisite of happiness.
